Louisa Petrou & Darren Edwards: Managing Directors and Stylists.
Louisa & Darren have worked in the hairdressing industry since leaving school. Both grew up together, went to school together, trained together and worked at the Vaughan’s Hair & Beauty salons during their early years of career. As their career’s and personal lives progressed, Louisa found herself living and working for a premiere salon in the heart of stylish Oxford. During her time as salon manager in Oxford, Louisa harnessed the importance of not only providing a good hair service for her client, but also the importance of the atmosphere and surrounding of a working salon. Darren later moved to the vibrant and fashionable city of Brighton. Here he gained invaluable knowledge of fashion-led design of hair style and colour.
Darren finally returned to his home town of Tavistock and was re-employed at Vaughan’s as deputy manager. In early 2008 Darren and Louisa’s professional careers crossed again when they both accepted positions of stylist at the new Me salon in Tavistock. It was here that the passion for why they both began hairdressing was reignited. In December 2008 the first talks began. Weeks later the dream of Bent Straight and Twisted was well and truly born and underway!
